Power Station, South Australia

A 95 megawatt Power Station has been built to meet demand for extra generation capacity into the National Electricity Market and South Australian electricity grid.  The plant uses four 25MW natural gas fuelled turbines equipped with the latest dry low nitrogen oxides (NOx) emission technology. Chase Power have supplied various equipment and on-site technical support to this project.

Neutral Earthing Resistor

  • 6.6kV Neutral Earthing Resistors, 400A, 10 Seconds with two LV Current Transformers in a Hot Dipped Galvanised IP54 enclosure

DC Battery Charger System

  • Two 3 phase 415VAC. 125VDC phase control Battery Charger systems

Discharge Load Bank

  • A 75A, 130V Discharge load bank consisting of 2 x 25A steps and a third 25A step comprising of 2 x 10A, 1 x 5A and 1 x 2.5A

Neutral Earthing Reactor

  • Chase Power are currently under contract to supply a 66kV, 560A air core, dry type Neutral Earthing Reactor with 2500mm elevating supports
